Regenerative Bali Program

Initiated in 2022, the Regenerative Bali Program by Eco Tourism Bali (ETB) focuses on restoring Bali's natural assets, from planting mangroves to coral restoration. In response to environmental challenges like climate change, nature loss, and pollution, ETB emphasizes the urgent need to limit global warming to 1.5°C by 2030. Collaborating with local communities and seeking funding, ETB aims to make significant climate actions through this program.
ETB highlights the remarkable carbon sequestration ability of mangroves, which can capture carbon four times faster than terrestrial forests. South Bali has dedicated 40 hectares for mangrove conservation and eco-tourism. Additionally, coral restoration efforts are being carried out in North Bali, recognizing the importance of all ecosystems for long-term planetary health.
Acknowledging that environmental preservation requires continuous effort and a collective approach, ETB conducts quarterly Regenerative Bali Programs, inviting corporate funding and volunteers to support their mission. From 2022 to 2024, ETB has self-funded the planting of 4,500 mangrove seedlings and engaged nearly 500 volunteers. Through platforms like Benefity, ETB hopes to further raise awareness and amplify their mission.
