The conversation around sustainability in tourism is evolving and so must we.
This year, Eco Tourism Bali proudly unveiled the Eco Climate Badge 2.0, marking a new chapter in Indonesia’s journey toward sustainable hospitality. More than a certification, the Eco Climate Badge 2.0 represents a movement, one that empowers hotels, resorts, and tourism players across the archipelago to transform their climate commitments into measurable, lasting action.
The Eco Climate Badge 2.0 Launch Panel, held during World Tourism Day 2025 at The Meru Sanur, brought together passionate voices from across the hospitality sector. Moderated by Elvira Wijsen (Sustainability & Purpose Consultant), the discussion featured inspiring perspectives from:
- Ayuk Yulianingsih – Market Team Manager, Booking.com
- Gratika Ekawati – Brand Marketing Director, Ini Vie Hospitality
- Paola Cannucciari – Verificator Eco Tourism Bali

Together, they explored the urgent need for collaboration, accountability, and purpose-driven transformation reminding us that sustainability is not a trend but a shared responsibility. From global platforms like Booking.com influencing traveler choices, to local hospitality brands integrating environmental values into their operations, the panel highlighted how every effort big or small contributes to a collective movement for change.
As Bali continues to lead by example, this launch represents more than just an initiative. It is a call to action, a commitment to redefine what it means to succeed in tourism, by building an industry that thrives in harmony with nature.
Through Eco Climate Badge 2.0, Eco Tourism Bali reaffirms its mission to create tangible pathways for businesses to reduce their environmental impact, strengthen community engagement, and champion regenerative practices that benefit both people and the planet.
Because the future of tourism depends not only on how we explore the world but on how we care for it.
