This prestigious badge signals that your tourism product or service meets rigorous social and environmental standards. Our program features a thorough 30-question assessment aligned with GSTC standards and SDG criteria, showcasing your dedication to eco-friendly practices.
As a member, you'll join a vibrant network of sustainable tourism providers, gaining access to valuable guidance and support. We assist hotels and restaurants in developing sustainable practices and achieving recognition through our ECB program, helping you stand out in the global market and move toward a climate-positive future.

1.3 Regenerative Bali Program

Regenerative Bali Program partners with hotels, restaurants, and corporations to advance a climate-positive future. In Bali, we focus on actions like planting mangroves, deploying reef stars, and releasing turtles to drive progress towards climate neutrality by 2050.
Mangrove forests and coral reefs are crucial for storing blue carbon and reducing atmospheric carbon. Protecting these ecosystems is key to avoiding the release of stored carbon and worsening climate issues. Our annual efforts in Bali reflect our commitment to marine conservation and achieving Climate Neutrality by 2050.

Mangrove Planting

Program:

• Workshop: knowledge sharing about the importance of Mangrove
• Planting
• Plastic clean up
• Mangrove product workshop
• Mangrove tour
• Games & hand over certificate of an adoption/contribution
• Monitoring and evaluation report

 

Objectives:

• Restoration of the mangrove ecosystem in Bali, which is 50% has been damaged
• Organise environmental activities in an interesting way
• Participate in the target of restoring 3.49 million hectares of mangrove ecosystems in Indonesia by 2045
• Give alternative economy value to the locals
• Helps stabilise ecosystems and prevent erosion
• Contributing to carbon sequestration at least 180,000 kg CO2e per year

Coral Restoration

Program:

• Workshop: knowledge sharing about the importance of Coral Reefs
• Planting
• Excursions: Sightseeing with diving or snorkeling
• Games & hand over certificate of an adoption/contribution
• Monitoring and evaluation report

 

Objectives:

• Restoration of the coral reefs in Bali, which is 60-70% has been damaged
• Organise environmental activities in an interesting way
• Give alternative economy value to the locals
• Improving the quality of marine tourism
• Contributing to carbon sequestration at least 200 kg CO2e per year

Turtle Release

Program

• Workshop
• Release Events.

 

Objectives:

• Support the restoration of sea turtle populations in Bali, addressing the critical threats they face.
• Organise engaging environmental activities that raise awareness and foster community involvement.
• Provide economic benefits to local communities through ecotourism and conservation activities.
• Enhance the quality of marine tourism by promoting conservation efforts and responsible practices.
• Contribute to carbon sequestration, aiming to offset at least 200 kg CO2e annually through sustainable practices and habitat protection.
